The Annex

Located in the base of the Capitol Residences building, the facility is a Vancouver Civic Theatre multifunctional rehearsal, studio and theatre facility. The Annex is designed as a flexible, recording capable facility with retractable theatre seating and tuneable acoustics. The main space is designed to accommodate rehearsals of the full Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. The space includes a cable-grid ‘floor’ at high level, to facilitate safe and quick changeover of lighting set-ups. The Annex facility includes a prefunction lobby, greenroom and storage spaces.
