Pinnacle on the Park

Pinnacle on the Park is the last parcel of land in Vancouver’s Olympic Village developed by Pinnacle International. The 18 storey tower includes 140 units and a generous mix of indoor and outdoor amenity spaces. Located at the south end of a planned Park that stretches to False Creek, the building enjoys uninterrupted views across to the North Shore mountains.

The material treatment of the project was inspired by the site’s industrial past along the historical shoreline of False Creek. A gently curved metal exterior with punched openings is reminiscent of the products produced in the metal works shop that once stood at this site. Blue and green glazed fins, inspired by the hues of the pacific, cast coloured light onto the surrounding surfaces. This dynamic effect creates a shifting expression of materiality throughout the day.

Outdoor spaces are designed with a strong railway motif, through the use of repurposed train tracks, crossing light inspired bird houses and rail tie inspired roof top planting.
